Ciao... ho un piccolo dubbio che mi stuzzica da qualche tempo...
quando faccio emerge sync.. alla gentoo viene aggiornata la lista dei packages disponibili...
e ogni volta che finisce un sync è consigliato fare un "fixpackages".
Fare un fixpackages può essere una cosa lunghetta... e via via si allunga.. in proporzione al numero di portage del sistema...
fra un paio d'anni.. mi chiedo... sarà un problema?! |

E' lunga, se non sbaglio, solo se non lo lanci da un po' di tempo. Comunque mi pare che ci sia anche la FEATURES fixpackage che mettendola fa da solo le cose, ma non ne sono sicuro

fixpackages serve a fixare alcuni problemi dei pacchetti binari nel momento in cui ad esempio un programma cambia categoria.

Esatto.
E il tempo che impiega dovrebbe essere direttamente proporzionale al numero di pacchetti presenti in /usr/portage/packages/All e alle loro dimensioni....

Questa cosa del fixpackages non la sapevo.
Tutte le volte che do un emerge sync e quando emergo qualcosa, subito dopo lancio

Sinceramente le stringhe che mi restituiscono questi comandi mi sembrano identiche alle ultime restituite dall'emersione.
