Peer Guardian Linux Altenatives?

Hello. im looking for a alternative to peerguardian for linux. im parinoid and use it . but i have a problem with it. it takes forever to add the ip's from methlabs to iptables and then when i shut down it takes forever to save my iptables state. then when i boot up it takes forever to restore the state. is their a alternative for linux or a way to speed this up? i mean if you can just load a program in windows to do the same thing i sure linux can do it faster and better, i just dont know how

gift has built-in IP blocking at least for the FastTrack (kazaa) network but, if you need protection on other networks like BT you could always give this https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-92932-highlight-peerguardian.html a try.
