Hi,
I tried a lot of things but I can not get my NF7-S working under linux.
Can anyone post a working kernel config for this motherboard?
Thanks. |

What specifically can't you get working? A lot of people use nForce2 boards, and the NF7-S should work fine (I have an NF7-S).
Here are the specific drivers for the devices on the nForce2 (in menuconfig)
IDE: Device Drivers->ATA/ATAPI/MFM/RLL support-> AMD and nVidia IDE support
SATA: Device Drivers->SCSI device support->SCSI low-level drivers->Serial ATA (SATA) support->Silicon Image SATA support
Sound: Device Drivers->Sound->Advanced Linux Sound Architecture->PCI devices->Intel/SiS/nVidia/AMD/Ali AC97 controller
Network: Device Drivers->Networking Support->Ethernet (10 or 100Mbit)->Reverse Engineered nForce Ethernet support (EXPERIMENTAL)
For sound and network, you can use nvidia's own driver if you choose. http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux.html |

Well I have got problems with the following stuff.
I have two IDE drives connected to the first IDE connection and 1 drive connected to the SATA connection (drive has a ATA connection, but I use a convertor to connect it to the sata connector on the motherboard).
I'll have to see this evening for the exact error message I'm getting. |
