I got this error too. Simple fix, enable pci ide drivers in your kernel (the one right above that driver that failed)
Device Drivers ---> ATA/ATAPI/MFM/RLL support --->
[ * ] PCI IDE chipset support
I also have "sharing pci interupts", "generic/default IDE chipset support", and "Generic PCI bus-master DMA support" but I'n not sure if they matter.
All I know is that I got that same error. Then after enabling the above things it compiled fine.
