|
|
I have a problem similar to some other people who experience erratic mouse behavior on 2.6. It jumps around, clicks a whole bunch, etc. I'm using a usb logitech optical 3 button scroll wheel mouse. It is connected to a usb -> ps/2 adaptor to a Belkin KVM. Now, here comes the strange part. I thought I had the mouse behavior fixed. I rebooted my machine and the logitech performed like a champ. However, I switched the KVM over and then came back. The mouse behavior was back again. So...it work if you never use the KVM. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this, because it is SO annoying. Thanks.
Below is my mouse section of X11org.conf:
Code: |
# Identifier and driver
Identifier "Mouse1"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "ExplorerPS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/mouse" |

I was told that whatever I was using to just use explorerPS/2. I tried IMPS/2 and it doesn't change anything.
Any ideas anyone? Are there issues with people using USB or Logitech mice in conjunction with a KVM or specifically Belkin KVMS? |

I don't know if this helps / has anything to do with this. But if you look at the screen shot below, you see the show desktop icon is high lighted. However, my mouse (an IBM usb mouse directly plugged in) was way over where the red circle in the image is. I know I know...I can just use this mouse. But I really rather would use my logitech through the kvm, it's just the only practical way really.
