Raid1 new disk

Hi
I have been running software raid1 for some time, but suddenly one of the disk died (thanks to the raid no data lost ) but now i have inserted a new disk and i need to get it in sync with the one already there.
However i cant use raidhotadd because i don't have any raidtab file, so i figured i need to make one, but i don't know the parameters of the disk in the system.
Any way i can find out what to write in the raidtab file?
