I live on the 2nd floor and my floor is hardwood. If I go crazy on the dance pad I'm sure it can be very anoying for the neighbors under me.
I'm thinking of moding my pad like this: http://www.ddrfreak.com/library/faqs-modding.php for a better feel.
I need ideas on how I could make it so the neighbors don't ear me banging on the floor. I was thinking about putting some sort of foam under. What would be the best material to use? any other idea? _________________ The only real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes! |

The mod is a good start. You probably (for noise reduction, and safeties sake) want to put some weight distributing grips, which stop it sliding around, and find a way to make sure if you are springing on the pad, that its not springing off the floor with you - so it is well tethered with say a flexible rubber system.
Could it possibly be done with a few of those rubber doormats (the one with the shaped latices) laid under the mat? _________________ Danny Staple, curator of http://orionrobots.co.uk
