PostPosted: Mon Jan 17, 2005 8:27 am    Post subject: Parallel port not detected w. genkernel Reply with quote

Dear Gentoo Users,

My parallel port seems not to be detected. I use genkernel and the parallel port seems to be enabled as a module in the kernel. Any ideas?

Thanks
/Jonas Forssell, Gothenburg, Sweden

I would try to copy to config file genkernel uses to compile you kernel and put in /usr/src/linux. Then run menuconfig and check and see if it compiles parallel support in your kernel.
Code:
Device Drivers --> Parallel Port Support -->
<*> Parallel port support
<*> PC-style hardware
