brother hl720 (lp0) doesn't work anymore ?

I tried quite everything that came to my mind, but obviously I forgot something...

I have been running my brother hl720 via lp0 already for several months. But now it seems as it doesn't work anymore. All I get is the alarm light blinking instead of printing.

I use cups-1.1.23 to print and beside it these...

I can't remember that I have changed my printer config and I'm still using the same driver as always before. (foomatic brother hl720)

Earlier the alarms was often on if page borders weren't correct. But now I don't even get a testpage! Just nothing than alarm, but why?
I'm sure it was working before christmas!
Also in Windoo$ it is still working.
I'm sure /dev/lp0 is correct (using udev without tarball)
the modules parport, parport_pc and lp are loaded

I didn't even change the kernel config...
