I need to draw network scheme. Does anybody know any good tool for Linux?
I tried xfig, but it constantly crashes, and more important, It's really hard to write there text in russian.
gimp I think is not very good for such task. Or may be I don't know how to use it...
What other programs exist? For windows there are some very comfortable programs for such task and what about linux? |

There is Dia.
Code: | emerge -av app-office/dia |
Its a gtk (looking up the link makes it look like a gnome app, not sure if there are a lot of dependencies if you don't have gnome stuff installed) program for making diagrams. I've used it for UML and ER diagrams and it looks like it has icons for network diagrams. I have no idea how good it is with Russian text, I guess as good as other GTK programs.[/url] |
