This is my second problem of the day . I've put it i a new thread cos its unrelated to the other.
Occasionaly when my boot sequence reaches User fonts it hangs. Then i have to restart. The user fonts come shortly after sound initialisation so I imagine it has something to do with th awe32 fonts. Could someone please help? _________________ Doont mok mi speleng kuz ey spel gud ey du!

I've recently discovered that this problem only arises after shuting down the computer rather than just turning it off.
The excat message is
Setting User Fonts
And comes just before restoring mixer levels _________________ Doont mok mi speleng kuz ey spel gud ey du!

I am experierencing the same problem, anyone have any input on this? A fix or letting me know how to just remove this from start up would work also, default font is fine with me. |

OH PLEASE GREAT LINUX GURUS, I BESEACH THEE
But seriously the problem seems to have gotten worse. Like I say it Hangs on initialising the user font shortly after initialising the ALSA modules and Restoring the mixer levels. Now its like playing the damn lottery trying to get the PC to boot. It took me ages this morning. There seems to be no way to get aroundthe problem other than by pure luck. _________________ Doont mok mi speleng kuz ey spel gud ey du!
