|
|
I have just finished my gentoo install remotely using SSH. I cannot remove the Gentoo CD from the PC I'm installing on so thus cannot reboot.
Can I install xorg and other apps without having rebooted to let fstab mount all the drives as they normally would be ?
I'm at work and bored - I don't want to waste the compiling time I have when my computer is idle so was thus hoping to compile X, fluxbox, firefox, evolution
Thanks |

You can install everything you want without having rebooted as long as you're within the chroot.. Just don't forget an etc-update, env-update, source /etc/profile when you're done with it. _________________ Votre moment detente
