I am getting the error message dhcp was not started. I have run rc-update -s and it showed that dhcp is set at default. I cannot get the NIC to function either. It is a ACCTON EN-1216 which works with tulip driver but so far will not function. It does work witin the LIVECD. When I do a lsmod it shows that tulip is loaded. How can I fix this? Is there a way to see exactly what they have configured on the livecd to make the nic work and dhcp? _________________ /\/\/\/\ GreatWhiteShark /\/\/\ |

When you built the kernel did you make sure to inclue all of the tulip drivers? There are I bealve 5 that are offered. Perhaps it's not one of the newest drivers. |

I get a !! when the system tries to bring up eth0.
1. Is the net.eth0 script a generic one? If so can someone send me one that I can use?
2. Is there a way to see what IRQ's are being used when the OS is up and what is free?
3. Could another device be using the IRQ that the NIC wants? If so how do you tell it to use another one or scan for a free one? _________________ /\/\/\/\ GreatWhiteShark /\/\/\ |
