I managed to get my USB scanner working with sane, but the permission for /proc/bus/usb/xxx/yyy are only set correct (rw-rw---- root;scanner) when I disconnect the scanner from USB and plug it in again.
Without this procedure teh permissions are (rw-r----- root;root). The job to set the right permissions for group scanner is done by /etc/hotplug/usb/libusbscanner (part of sane-backends). It does the task very well, but how can I make it work even after boot, without unplug/plug-in again?
EDIT: I don`t (and don`t want to) use coldplug. |
