Hi all,

For some reason, Apache 1.3.33 get installed over Apache 2.0.52. However, I don't want this. I have no idea why Apache 1.3 get installed over Apache 2.0. The horror is that when I restart the box, Apache 1.3 get started first and then Apache 2.0 failed to start. On the top of that, I cannot type "rc-update del apache" to get rid of Apache 1.3, saying this apache is not found at any run levels. When I type rc-update show, apache seems to take precendence over apache2 and it has no run levels.

Now I'm reemerging Apache 2.0 and see whether this solves the problem. In the meantime, please help.

My current solution is basically "emerge -C apache-1.3.33" and then kill all apache processes and start apache2 manually using "/etc/init.d/apache2 restart". However, "rc-update show" still shows apache in it.

Any better solution?
