|
|
Hey all.
I just have a simple question - do any of you out there have a suggestion as to what sound card I should buy? The one I have on my board (integrated Intel sound card, in my new Gateway 550GR) just refuses to work in any way. I'm looking for a relatively cheap card (between $15 - $40) preferably around the $20 and want one with amazing Gentoo compatability and support. Any suggestions are appriciated. |

SB Live is one of the best supported cards, has pretty decent quality, and full hardware mixing.
And it's really really cheap nowadays. _________________ word. |

ICE/VT1712 - based cards are also very well supported, and have far better quality than anything Creative sh*t, but may be slightly more expensive. |

Thanks everyone! I think I'm probably going to go with a Sound BlasterLvie Card - they will be cheap, and I can find them pretty much anywhere. I appriciate all the advice! Gentoo Forums rock. |
