Ok, so i'm having problems emerging several new updates, and they've hung around for a while, no new emerge sync's over the past week have resolved the problems.

When trying to emerge the gentoo-sources 2.4.28-r5, i get this error:
Code:
patch:p pch.c:614: intuit_diff_type: Assertion 'i0 !=NONE' failed.      [!!]
*Please attach /var/tmp/portage/gentoo-sources-2.4.28-r5/temp/04-01.GRSecurity-2.0.2.err to any bug you may post.

When trying to emerge gtk+-2.4.14, i get this message:
Code:
grep: /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.4/libstdc++.la: No such file or directory
/bin/sed: can't read /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.4/libstdc++.la: No such file or directory
libtool: link: '/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.4/libstdc++.la' is not a valid libtool archive
...

I get something similar when trying to emerge imagemagick-6.1.8.8.

Does anyone know what's going wrong? :(

Not sure about the kernel prob, but read this thread for the 'not a valid libtool archive' prob:https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=278673

Ah, great, thanks a lot. All the emerges work now, except for gentoo-sources 2.4 kernel. I wonder what's causing that problem. Anyway, thanks for the tip. :D

Hmm.....so i'm still not able to emerge this kernel. I get the below message everytime:
Code:
patch: pch.c:614: intuit_diff_type: Assertion `i0 != NONE' failed.        [ !! ]
 * Please attach /var/tmp/portage/gentoo-sources-2.4.28-r5/temp/04-01.GRSecurity-2.0.2.err to any bug you may post.[

Has anyone else run into this problem? I use the 2.6 kernel anyway, so it's not too big of a deal, but it's a little annoying for emerge to stop everytime it comes to this kernel package.

Moved from Portage & Programming. Please see https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-281007-highlight-0401+grsecurity2.html for the kernel problem.
