I'm trying to get suspend to ram working on my Dell Inspiron 4000 laptop.
I type:
Code: | #echo -n mem > /sys/power/state |
and it seems to shut everything off and go to sleep. However the screen goes completely white and stays on! If I press the power button the machine powers up and works just fine. Any ideas?
I'm running 2.6.10 if that helps. Let me know what other info I need to provide. |

Ola !
I have something simular with my Armada Lappy...
I "fooled" around with the APM and ACPI options...
I stopped using ACPI and turned on APM with NO other option in this section...
Anyway... Now it really goes to sleep as it should be... and when it wakes up....
WOW it continues where it was (Except for the network.... I have to restart my network card)
Maybe it words for you too ?

Yeah, i seem to have things working with APM. Just unfortunate that I can't use ACPI. |

Why dont you use suspend to harddisk? i use that on my laptop and it works just fine with ACPI.. not as fast as to ram but it shuts the system off completley |
