|
|
I'm trying to emerge expect, but after the build appears to complete I get an error... Here's the last few lines that came from emerge:
Code: |
prepallstrip:
strip: strip --strip-unneeded
strip: strip --strip-unneeded
usr/bin/expect
usr/bin/expectk
>>> Completed installing expect-5.40.0 into /var/tmp/portage/expect-5.40.0/image/
--------------------------- ACCESS VIOLATION SUMMARY ---------------------------
LOG FILE = "/tmp/sandbox-dev-tcltk_-_expect-5.40.0-21366.log"
open_wr: /usr/lib/libexpect5.40.a
open_wr: /usr/lib/libexpect5.40.so
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
|
The file "LOG FILE =" points to contains:
Code: |
open_wr: /usr/lib/libexpect5.40.a
open_wr: /usr/lib/libexpect5.40.so
|
This is definitely an error I haven't seen before, and I've emerged expect
quite a few times on 32-bit gentoo installs, never with a problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Sandboxing bug in ebuild. Workaround until it's fixed: Code: | FEATURES="-sandbox -usersandbox" emerge expect |

@zzaappp: Notice that by installing it this way, the libraries are not known to Portage and won't be unmerged when expect is unmerged. |
