I bought a matrox g400 for my PC for the sole reason of playing back video files and dvds to my TV.
However I have as yet been unable to configure TVout to work fuly, with Mplayer using anything other x11 (which is what i don't want). I know a few of you on these boards use the G400 with Mplayer and enjoy full hardware accelarated video playback onto a TV.
I have emerged DirectFB and compiled Mplayer but i still get | Quote: | | Error opening/initializing the selected video_out (-vo) device. |
when trying to play a video file. I really need some help with this please.
Can anyone provide me with a complete how to on this at all? |

| Get yourself some more information on DirectFB, I don't have a howto ready but if you search in their ML archive, you'll probably find what you need. |
