Just out of curiousity, I just wanted to know which OS does the server at www.gentoo.org run? I bet that it's gentoo.org. |

It runs Windows ME, with IIS. 
Seriously, it probably runs FreeBSD, or maybe even gentoo, i dunno.

The Gentoo developers have said themselves that gentoo isn't ready for a server environment yet. However they are working on a version specifically for servers, using less upto date packages, but more thoroughly tested packages that are known to be stable.

I'm fairly sure when I say that the server for gentoo.org indeed runs on gentoo, could be wrong but it seems I remember a similar post.
