Whenever I try to start spamd with /etc/init.d/spamd start I get the follwoing error:
* Starting spamd...
Can't locate Mail/SpamAssassin.pm in @INC (@INC contains: ../lib /var/tmp/portage/Mail-SpamAssassin-2.43-r2/image//usr/lib/site_perl/5.6.1 /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1/i686-linux /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/i686-linux /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.6.1/i686-linux /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.6.1 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl .) at /usr/bin/spamd line 21.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/bin/spamd line 21.
* Failed to start spamd
Any ideas to the problem?
Using default settings after emerge. |

Yep that did it, however I did it slighty differently. I ran cpan, then from cpan prompt install Mail::SpamAssassin
Curious why did the ebuild for SpamAssassin not perform this step? |
