I have tried over and over to create a functioning kernel config for my new ibook and have failed over and over. If someone who has a working config would be kind enough to post it here that would be great.

That's a pretty good reference, aronchi. The doc I was going on was written a couple years ago, so having an updated resource out there should help new users quite a bit. 8)

Thanks.
It's a wiki, so anyone wants to contribute can make updates directly. Maybe in that way we can mantain an updated resource for this model and other Ibook.

Can either of you tell me why alll I get is static out of my speakers when I run alsaplayer (with a somafm playlist)?

Another thing I have found is speedfreq seems to think that compiling 4 things at the same time is not something that requires the cpu so it leaves me at 599MHz .

I Like the idea and will gladly join any type of project you may start to keep the ibook (sample) configs current.

Figured out the SpeedFreq error

Code:

speedfreq -p dynamic

fixed it
