I have been using hardened-dev-sources for my kernel, but the network doesn't work (ifconfig says eth0 is up but I can't even ping computers on my lan). I tried gentoo-dev-sources with an almost identical configuration (it is identical for all the netwrok options as far as possible), and my network works. Why is this happening and can I get the network to work with my hardened kernel? |

The best way to resolve this would be by filing a bug on https://bugs.gentoo.org.
You should assign the bug to hardened@gentoo.org, and attach information such as emerge info and your kernel .config. |
