|
Hello I was gonna install gentoo and use WinXP at the same time. I used partition magic and created one ext3 on 10 gb, one ext2 on 32 mb and one swap space on 512 mb and I don't know but when I un"zipped" the stage 1,2 and 3 files it said after a while to small space or something and I haven't even got to choose where to install. And I wounder how to use them together and what I need to know choose installation etcetera. Hope someone can help me cause I've used Mandrake and SuSE but gentoo is awesome (if I just could manage to install it)...

Its better to just create some free space with partition magic. (In this case 10gb+32mb+512mb)
Than boot the gentoo liveCD and follow the installation instructions. In the chapter "Preparing the Disks" you will create three partitions on that free space
