I've got my onboard NForce2 Sound (AC97, not Soundstorm) working with ALSA. Every program plays to it just fine... as long as it's the only program. Only one program can be playing sounds at the same time. It's not a hardware problem - under Windows I never ran out of channels; at least 6-10 programs could play sounds at once. Where do I look in Gentoo to fix this? _________________ Gentoo: Stage3 w/ NPTL & udev, gcc 3.4.4 full rebuild
