I've mapped two keys on my keyboard to volume up/volume down. When I push them, a window with a bar to indicate volume pops up, so I know the key bindings took. However, the bar is always empty, and the volume doesn't change. I can change the volume with the volume control applet (the applet in the upper-right hand corner of a gentoo gnome2 ebuild by default). I mapped the mute key too, but that works strangely enough.
It seems to me like it should be a permissions issue, but for the life of me I can't figure out what it might be. All of my audio files'/symlinks' owners are set to root:audio with mode 660 or better and my desktop user is in the audio group. Any ideas? _________________ Um...Hook 'em horns? |
