MacOS X & NFS exports

I know this is not really the right forum to ask - but I have a question. I'm currently sharing files between my desktop and my girlfriend's iBook with OSX via Samba, but I'd prefer to do that with NFS. Does OSX support NFS? If yes, is there something similar to /etc/fstab on OSX, or how could I mount the NFS exports? So far I've only found a menu entry to mount Appletalk or Samba shares but nothing for NFS. If NFS is not supported, what else would you suggest (besides Samba ;-)
