samba not working

hi folks.

i can't start smb service.
this is the log

[2005/01/24 10:04:24, 0] lib/interface.c:load_interfaces(220)
WARNING: no network interfaces found

and the smb.conf

interfaces = eth0

i don't know what i'm doing wrong.

Is you network up already?

What does /sbin/ifconfig give you? Do you have eth0 there?

strange thing i added another nic and it started working. i'm going to remove it again to see what it happens.
