It seems as though sometimes when I boot my PS2 keyboard is initialized as a mouse.
While booting I seem to either get:
"mice: PS/2 mouse device common for all mice
input: AT Translated Set 2 Keyboard on isa0060/serio0"
or just the first line about mice.
Since I have no keyboard the time it breaks I can't really snoop around. Unfortunately I dont have another machine handy at the moment to SSH in and see what happened. I tried removing PS2 mouse support from the kernel altogether but, that didnt work at all.
Is there some way to tell Gentoo to not even bother to detect PS2 mice? Has anyone else experienced this?
I'm running 2.6.9-r14, x86_64 platform.
Thanks. _________________ "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act, but a habit."
