today i gave profuse another shot... twice. i couln't believe that it really cleared out ALL my use flags at once and leaves only " -esd" behind. i'm so fed up with those friggin tools. DONT PUT THEM IN PORTAGE IF THEY ARE BUGGED DAMNIT!!! this is worth an hour of NOTHING! the other thing is, that you can't explizitly remove a use flag with profuse, so to say put a "-" in front of it. please throw that thing away and NEVER suggest to anyone to ever use it again. now i can put those damn use flags by hand into make.conf again, or try my luck with the _deprecated_ ufed, which at least worked somehow. _________________ If you fall off a cliff, you might as well try to fly. sorry to hear that :/
You could try the latest version of profuse, which conains many bug corrections. Before using it, backup your make.conf anyway.
If you should encounter some problem, you can fill a bug report or mail me |

Speaking of which, how would you feel about updating profuse in portage to the latest build (: |

What do you mean? the latest version is 0.21 and is in portage. Maybe I don't see what you mean? |

Maybe it's masked or something (I'm using amd64 and I've checked package.mask) but all I get is:
Code: |
* app-portage/profuse
Latest version available: 0.20.3
etc...

latest profuse (0.22.0) gives me problems...
Code: | Can't locate object method "set_orientation_" via package "Gtk2::ProgressBar" at /usr/bin/profuse line 121.
|
and it stops.
any idea? _________________ The capacity to learn is a gift; The ability to learn is a skill; The willingness to learn is a choice. |

yes, it's clearly me being very dumb.
I have fixed it in the ebuild. Simply update your tree (dev-perl and app-portage at least), and reemerge profuse.
sorry for the inconvenience |
