Ok, it looks like the libraries were linked properly after all. It only looked like they weren't.

indeed, my libs are linked properly, direct rendering says its on BUT
glxgears gets ~350
xcompmgr use feels laggy
perhaps this is some kernel issue (i have MTTR, agpgart (tried nvagp as well not much if any dif), what could it be?)
ubuntu on the other partition is probably a good idea to see if its my hardware just not playing nice with linux or if its me not knowing how to configure things) |

Really good to see that I'm not the only one having this problem !
Have you already solved the problem ?
I'm really desperate now, i spent two days searching Information, changing kernels, nvidia-drivers... but nothing helped !
Any ideas guys ? |

sadly, i never did. i'm back on windows with gentoo under vmware  i am going to give it another go now that i have another hdd though. |
