I have set up my server and client according to this post: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=236974&highlight=nfs and this wiki post: http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Share_Directories_via_NFS.
However, while trying to copy a file from the server to the client the cp command hangs and the file size never increases.
In fact, running a 'ls' command has even hung.
Is there something simple I am missing?
portmap is running on the client, nfs and portmap are running on the server.
server is 'stud', client is 'bjarne'
/etc/exports on server:
mount command on client:
Code: | mount stud:/common /import |
both /import and /common have 777 permissions....
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
