I am trying to copy the kernel image and the System.map and its not working. I get a message saying file does not exist. I am not sure what i am doing wrong, i am following the guide to the letter. I am using 2.4.26-gentoo-r9, 2004.3 Universial cd. Help please? |

(1) Make sure /boot is mounted.
(2) You may not be in the /usr/src/linux directory. Try the full path:
Code: | cp /usr/src/linux/arch/i386/boot/bzImage /boot/kernel-2.whatever |

Did you use genkernel, or compile it manually?
Are you using i386, or another arch?
You could always move to the /usr/src/linux directory, and execute "find | grep bzImage" |
