I installed gentoo successfully on my T42. ibm-acpi was also happily working in my system. However, I have no idea how to make use of the various available information provided by ibm-acpi in my KDE. I did tried to make use of the ksysguard, but it seems to me the task is beyond its capabilities.

Could someone recommand a Qt/KDE program for this task? It should have a configurable sensor interface, where I can specify which file to read and what the input is expected to be.

thanks

If ACPI works I guess ACPI status reader will do just fine.
Perhaps superkaramba works that then you would need to get lm-sensors working too...
