I have a trouble emerging KDE
When I want to emerge KDE it looks, like it wants to download like 100 of packages (which I don't know if its OKay but that's not the point)
The problem is, that after a few secs it throws an error
ERROR: dev-libs/cyrus-sasl-2.1.20 -r1 failed
Unexpected signal: 11 occured at PC=0x49B20E74
Heap at VM Abort
...and it writes down the header (or st??) of Heap of VM
and additional question - what does have KDE common with JAVA?
THx for any advice

First, make sure you've completed a thorough stage install. If you're new to Gentoo, I recommend Stage 3. It may be that it's trying to install packages that should be installed during the stage install, but if you haven't completed that successfully, then of course KDE is gonna want to install them all if it depends on them.
Once you've done that and can boot up to a prompt, then try doing
The "-p" switch stands for pretend, and emerge will run but just by displaying all the packages it would install, and in what order. Post the results here.
As for what KDE has in common with Java, I'd have to say...nothing. KDE is a desktop environment (or GUI), and Java is a machine language. Java runs in things like browser windows. Also, there are entire applications, like MoneyDance, written entirely in Java that run like C++ or QT apps. _________________ "In retrospect, everything is funny."

I think I completed the stage install - no error occured, just some warnings.
Actually I solved this problem by adding -sasl to my USE flags.
And another problem occured

The emerge -p gives this :
Code: | These are the packages that I would merge, in order:
Calculating dependencies ... ...done!
