Hi All,
I'm thinking of installing Gentoo onto a partition on the drive of my Mac Powerbook 12".
I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to install it so that I get the best user experience I can. Especially when it comes to things like the trackpad, wireless internet, bluetooth, dvd-writer, USB, firewire, mounting things, etc.
I plan to install Gnome as my desktop of choice.
All and any hints and tips would be gratefully received,

As far as I know, most things should work on your powerbook, except for wireless-lan (if you have an airport-extreme 54 mbit card).
I don't have a mac myself, but my girlfriend tried to install linux on her ibook g4, and as far as I remember, wlan was the only issue she had with it.
Sorry I can't tell you more at the moment, I might be able to supply some helpful links later. |
