I can access google, or anyother website fine from links, but when I try from Mozilla/Firefox, it doesn't work. I was also having problems with emerge, it was trying to access a mirror, and the address would be like 1.0.0.0. I solved that by just writing the numeric address of the server in the make.conf file. In google, I noticed that if I write the address in the number form for google, I can access it with no problem, but not with the www.google.com address. I'm not very keen on any of the networking stuff, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

| Okay, I feel really dumb. I spent some time doing some research, and found a lot of people having the same problems. The problem was the resolv.conf file having two nameservers, one being the gateway address. Well, took that one out, and now, everything works perfectly. Sorry about that. |
