Hello,
When I first emerged mplayer I couldn't get any .vob to play either from the XMMS interface or from the Konsole using the command "mplayer". I then proceded to emerge mplayer with the proper USE flag ^^. Now DVD files (.vob) play in Konsole using the command "mplayer", but the XMMS interface still treats them as unplayable i.e. it doesn't even add them to the play-list. Any advice anyone?
p.s. I am a new user so please keep that in mind with any replies:-)
Thank you!
Jakub

XMMS is mainly targetted to audio playback. mplayer has its own graphican user interface, which is launched with 'gmplayer' instead of mplayer from konsole (or any other terminal one might be using).
If I am correct xmms and mplayer don't interoperate, those are two separate projects and applications. |

aha.... ok.... I'll see what "gmplayer" looks like and see if I like it better than the the XMMS interface, which I found can utilise mplayer by emerging this plugin: xmms-xmmsmplayer (I just found it^^).
Thank you for the quick reply!
