Hi, I had posted a similar topic a few days ago, and the solution worked, but just for a while. I was told to use
Code:

emerge libtool
OR
emerge --oneshot libtool

I am still getting the error messages, they say:
Code:

First I emerge KDE
emerge kde
Then this happens:
ERROR: (Part of the installation that keeps on changing this time it's:) media-libs/libungif-4.1.0.1b failed
Function src_compile, line 38, Exitcode 2
(No error message)

What can I do to stop this? Usually the ERROR: part changes, like when I try emerge kdebase it gives me a different error.

hmm, the build failes in a different place, with a different error each time?

If so i would suspect hardware. Is they CPU overheating? Have you tested your ram for errors? does it happen with other big merges (openoffice, gnome)?

This is usually the cause of strange non-reproducable failures.

Well, it doesn't change every time, it just changes when I try emerging different parts like kdebase, so I figure theres something worng with something  Although, I'm sure that my hardware is fine, everything else emerges fine.
