I just read this:
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2003/10/06/linux_vs_windows_viruses/
I smiled when I saw the first lines:
Quote: |
To mess up a Linux box, you need to work at it; to mess up your Windows box, you just need to work on it, writes SecurityFocus columnist Scott Granneman.

An old article, and the quote is well known by just about everyone now.
Still remains a nice one! |

That is good, and very true, I have often heard that the downside to Linux is that it can be broken, but I have seen far more broken Windows boxes! _________________ The only way to aggrandize oneself is to aggrandize others. |

I have to say that after getting linux up i had to do something, to actually try, like change major settings or a careless kernel configuration settings to get a kernel pannic. _________________ “Music is a moral law. I rather like the paragraphs encouraging the diversity of Linux software but I think this line:
Quote: |
But most obvious to the end user, Linux mail clients and address books are far from standardized. |
could have a spin put on it implying that FOSS developers don't care about standards. That would of course be purely fictional but people will believe anything they read. |
