hi i have a trouble when i install gentoo. after i chroot to /mnt/gentoo i try to update the envirounment with env-update but it fails and apear this error:

!!!Incorrect multiline literals can cause this
then when i looked to make.conf i saw:

You make.conf is completely corrupted. The most likely cause is hardware failure (dying hard drive, damaged cable) or setting an incorrect transfer mode (UDMA on non-UDMA capable drives for example). _________________ Military Commissions Act of 2006: http://tinyurl.com/jrcto

Usually those lines are caused by a screwed up mirrorselect command. I reccomend wiping make.conf and starting over. _________________ Gentoo: Stage3 w/ NPTL & udev, gcc 3.4.4 full rebuild
