if i were to get together a buncha avatars would the people in charge of the forum be interested in possibly importing them to the avatar directory? i'd arrange them in their proper directories and all that to make it as painless as possible. they'd all meet the size and space requirements as well.
would give me something to do while im at work _________________ I used gentoo BEFORE it was cool. |

I want a cool avatar that's really unique! But not of some person I don't even know (read: celebrity). |

Sure, we'd look at adding some new avatars to the gallery. Could you try to avoid copyright problems? (says rac from inside her glass house)

Yes -- rac is a little old lady with bony fingers. Didn't you know?

You have no idea how much I wanted to ask that, but I was afraid it was too off-topic and she'd lock this thread or something. |

i realized rac was a "her" when... well... i didn't ever realize it. my wife ended telling me. she frequents the forums just to see why i like gentoo so much. she's still baffled but she did manage to figure out who was what and so on and so forth.
rac, just so you know... you sound like you're female. apparently it's painfully obvious to other females but not us males.
wonder who else is male or female... oh well... that's for another thread.

Ok, Rac, you're going to have to clear this up, because now even I'm confused. I thought the "little old lady" business was 100% humor - but if it's got some sort of lower humor content (say, 66%)... (I have been told that I'm oblivious). Of course, to be honest, I've always pictured you as having a big sun for a head with a blue moon beard.
Anybody remember that scene in Amelie where the guy meets the photo-booth guy with red shoes?
Oh, and on the topic of this thread, there are a number of avatars that could be made that match the theme of mine - SCII aliens. I have the animated .gif equivalents here if somebody felt like trimming/scaling them down to suitable avatar sizes. With SCII being released under the GPL they are probably kosher. _________________ "An empty head is not really empty; it is stuffed with rubbish. For some reason no matter what I do my profile won't let me use an avatar (at least from the gallery)
Or is there something hidden that I am missing? |
