Procmail dying with sig 11

Hello,

In order to get mail delivery set up quickly, I configured fetchmail to pass mail to procmail. However, fetchmail is reporting that procmail dies of sig 11 about 95% of the time:

reading message [ ... ] MDA died of signal 11

in .fetchmailrc, I have

mda "/usr/bin/procmail -d %T"

I set fetchlimit of 100, out of which about 90-95 fetch attempts end with the above error, and 5-10 mails get delivered.

This box has been running Slackware for 4 years w/o problems. I know that sig 11 can indicate memory problems, but it's difficult for me to believe that I just suddenly have bad memory. Any thoughts on what else might be causing this?
