I'm using a smp kernel. The system does not hang. I can not see anything but I can enter "root" and the password and if I type "eject /mnt/cdrom" my cdrom opens. Init 0 works fine too. |

Could you be a little bit more descriptive of your problem?
Also I thought the new 2004.3 LiveCD's didn't have a choice between 2.6 or 2.4 kernels, they came with 2.6 which has SMP enabled anyways. Unless you're using the 2004.2 or older cd? And what do you mean by you cannot see anything?
Are these problems you're describing during install or after? |
