|
|
I have been using gentoo-source as my kernel in the past but recently a buddy of mine suggested vanilla source since its more universal and comes right from the kernel developers. The reason Im asking is because im getting ready do do a new Gentoo Install and wanted to see if there was good reason to consider vanilla? Also, is there a good reason to use a newer, masked kernel? |

My machine runs perfect on vanilla...
what can be possibly wrong with a vanilla kernel?
I think it is more stable (cause of better testing) than the gentoo kernel.
Maybe because I never tried the gentoo sources...
