hi everyone.
i'm trying to implement this as clean and elegant as possible and i don't know which is the best aproach.
my server connects to the net via dsl, once connected it gets an static IP via pptp. finally it connects to a remote server in another city with ipsec to make a private vpn.
i want to set them up at bootup in this order:
ppoe > firewall for ppp0 > pptp > firewall for ppp1 > ipsec
and then, as pptp ussualy goes down, have something that checks the links state.
i had a cron script doing this, but i think some init script could be done using dependencies. ip.up and ip.down scripts may be useful too.
suggestions? |
