Hi,
I have Tyan Thunder i7500 mainboard
and two XEON 1500 MHz processors.
They are detected as 1500MHz but work only
at 800MHz.
Somewhere in Internet i've read about this
issue, but i've forgot where and can't find it now.
The problem was that i7500s BIOS
doesn't support such processors and set
takt frequency to 800MHz.
But I've read there, that it's possible
later to reset frequency to original 1500MHz.
Could you comment it please?
Thanks. _________________ Lefsha |

Tried a BIOS update?
Also, if you have OC'ing options on your MB, try overclocking them to 1500Mhz (which really isn't an overclock) |

As far as I know it is not possible to overlock
or better to say to set certain freguency for processor.
In other case I have had done this.
BIOS update... I'm not sure, but I have never tried.
May be you are right.
