kde sound problem [solved]

the systemevent sounds wont play with the internal kde player as user. when logging in as root they play. changing the player to an external one it works, too. whats wrong with the kde internal player? how to fix that?

i just noticed kopete makes no sound, too. it seems no kde app makes noise.
