First of all, props to dsd for helping me get the modules loaded into the kernel. After tackling that beast I've arrived at the next barrier in my mission to get pcmcia working on the satellite 4020 cdt.
Here's the thing. When I run the menuconfig utility, the help section of the pci_hotplug module says that in order for the module to work the filesystem pcihpfs must be mounted. Well my kernel has never heard of that filesystem, and even when I get the module pci_hotplug working (thanks again dsd), the filesystem still isn't present in /proc/filesystems.
My questions therefore are:
Where is this filesystem (can't find in menuconfig or portage)?
How do I get it installed on my box (if it isn't already)?
How do I mount it?
( I'm thinking something like mount -t pcihpfs arbitraryLocation) |
